MATHEMATICS AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY

Put your apron on and calculate and measure your ingredients because this delicious course is about cooking and feeding friends and whānau. We will be guided by four of the nine stars of Matariki: Tupu-ā-rangi, which signifies food that comes from above; Tupu-ā-nuku, food from the soil; Waitī, fresh water; and Waitā, the ocean. 

You will have the opportunity to design a financially viable product, share it, and collect feedback about it while learning about Food Tech, Hospitality, Mathematics, and Statistics. You will practise budgeting and food safety while also learning how to make, present, sell, and share food and products sustainably. You will also design a Pātaka Kai for your community.
